Our Story
We met the good, old-fashioned way, on the internet. The app said that we had a 99% compatibility rating, which was the highest either of us had ever seen so we started chatting. It became clear fairly quickly that the algorithm was accurate, and we had a lot in common...a love of sports, travel, restaurants, and family. We also learned about the 1% where we didn't align; John is an introverted, punctual, morning person and Sam is decidedly none of those things.

Our first official picture together! We decided to go whale watching in Monterey where John immediately got seasick and Sam decided to memorialize the moment.

John made a full recovery to go golfing at Pebble Beach (just the executive nine...Sam only golfs for the outfits) the next day and take a better picture.

We celebrate our "monthaversary" each month on the 4th. It's one of our favorite traditions and ensures that we have at least one good date night every month.

Our first trip to Palm Springs, which has now become one of our favorite places to visit. John was a real trooper and sat through an entire weekend of tennis.

After picking up the keys to our first home, renovations were quickly underway.

After wrapping up most of the house remodel, we decided to become puppy parents and adopted Ellie from a local rescue.

We took our first international trip to Iceland. It was absolutely beautiful, albeit very cold.

Returning back to Monterey, John proposed on our two-year anniversary following a delicious dinner on the waterfront.
