DOCO is located adjacent to the Kimpton Sawyer and the Golden 1 Center, home of the Sacramento Kings. DOCO is an entertainment and lifestyle district in Sacramento’s dynamic Downtown. It is home to restaurants, bars, a movie theater, Macy's, local shops, and a Jeff Koons' Piglet sculpture.
The Capitol building serves as both a museum and the state’s working seat of government. The building houses the chambers of the California State Legislature, made up of the California State Assembly and the California State Senate, along with the office of the Governor of California. The grounds of the Capitol are beautiful and include multiple monuments (including one for California Native peoples that Sam worked to make happen) and gardens.
Registered as a national historic landmark, The Old Sacramento Waterfront overflows with invigorating things to see and do. Visit multiple museums, riverboat rides, historic railroads excursions, lots of shopping, cobblestone streets, and one of the oldest schoolhouses in the state.
No trip to Sacramento would be complete without a visit to the Tower Bridge, Sacramento's most iconic landmark, and if you get lucky, you might get to see the vertical lift in action.
